Tucson: Summer 2018

Tucson is a city dramatic in its mountainous sometimes prickly beauty but subtle in its unpretentious charm.

Driving through El Encanto, a wonderful residential neighborhood, is a favorite activity and a personal requirement.

My parent’s friends own the stately beauty above.

This art deco Moroccan mauve vision intrigues and requires a visit.

Not all of the El Encanto homes are large. There are numerous smaller yet equally fascinating cottages located there.

Some homes would be a fun project such as this one.

Mexican food is a must when visiting Arizona.

The Little One has a large assortment of daily juices such as Mango-Peach and Prickly Pear.

Little Cafe Poca Cosa, also known as The Little One, is a gem for numerous reasons. Primarily because the food is fantastic. Secondly, the owner requires hugs upon leaving, is green-minded as well as charitably minded. A large donation jar allows patrons to give to numerous needy causes. A blackboard posts the prior month’s amounts and the recipients.

Local wildlife spotting is always fun.

This trip the coyotes and javelinas were illusive, but there was a proliferation of bunnies, hummingbirds, and quail.

Until next time, Tucson. Can’t wait to return.

Casa V can incorporate the beautiful lessons learned from the desert such as drama, scale, and beauty to your home wherever it may be.
