Qurentia style developed from a lifetime of experiences from being a teacher, artist, wife, animal lover, and world traveler.
Que Throm is my inspiration. She is ageless. Qurentia style is a result of her active mind always learning and exploring. As she is so creative, I always love to see what she has been up to. Lately that has been completing the building of her second Mexican home. The first house, she sold to a woman who moved to San Miguel de Allende driving down from California with her dogs. The woman slept in her car until she found a home to purchase. Five days later she bought Que’s home. San Miguel is full of brave independent women, such as this, who want to live life exuberantly.
Despite moving in days before I arrived in San Miguel, Que threw a dinner party for a group of us visiting from Orlando. In just a few short days the house was already spectacular. Que has tremendous style. Her houses are dramatic yet warm and a feast for the eyes. She is married to Cicero Greathouse, another talented artist. Naturally, their walls are filled with art. Additional interest comes from the ethnic textiles that are a passion of Que’s. She pulls from her collection to create headboards, ottomans, and pillows.
Once her home is complete, I hope to feature the house in full. In the meantime here are a few casual shots to illustrate the fascinating Qurentia style.
